Golf Course Senior Discounts
Other discounts available at the driving range, on golf lessons and cart rentals

Summer is officially here and that means many of you may be heading to the Golf Course to enjoy the great weather. But before you go, you should know what discounts may be available to you.

Where and When:
While the majority of golf course discounts will be found at your local public courses, you should not overlook private courses, as many will extend a discount to seniors as well. Golf courses like to attract golfers during their slower periods and will typically provide senior discounts during their slow times, so you should be prepared to play in the mornings or late afternoons during the week or during off-season times if you want to claim your discount.

Golf discounts don’t just end with the green fees. Senior discounts can also be found on golf cart rentals and at driving ranges. Some facilities will even offer discounts on lessons or golf camps, and pro shops may extend the course senior discount to clothes and equipment in the shop.

Age Requirements:
The age requirements for senior golf discounts will vary from facility to facility. There are discounts available for those of us that are 50 or 55 years of age, but many discounts may not begin until you are 60 or 62. Public courses tend to have the higher age requirements.

Discount Amounts:
Like the age requirements, the amount of the discount can be different at every course. Discounts can range anywhere from 10% off or a couple of dollars from the green fees to more than 50% off or more than $50 dollars.

Locating Discount Information:
The majority of golf courses now have their own web sites and you can usually find the senior discounts located under the green fees section of the web site. Seniors 55-59 save up to 30% off green fees and seniors 60 and older save up to 40% off green fees. Senior Rates are Monday – Friday before 11:00am.

Ken McDonald Golf Course
Tempe, AZ
Senior residents 55 and older save up to 35% off green fees. ID is required to receive discount.

Colina Park Golf Course
San Diego, CA
Seniors 55 and older save up to 30% off the green fees. No Restrictions.

Keeton Park Golf Course
Dallas, TX
Golfers 60 and older receive a 45% weekday discount off of the regular adult green fees. Available Monday-Friday, and excludes Holidays.
