Golf and Golf Courses

Summer is here and Father's Day is rapidly approaching, so we thought it would be a good time to discuss those senior discounts available on the greens.

Many golf courses, particularly public courses, offer seasonal senior discounts. This means that the amount of the discount or requirements for the discount can change from season to season, from year to year or even from day to day. Courses like to attract seniors during the slower periods, so be prepared to play in the mornings or late afternoons during the week or during off-season times if you want to claim your discount.

Golf discounts don't just end with the green fees. Senior discounts can also be found on golf cart rentals and at driving ranges. Some facilities will offer discounts on lessons or golf camps, and pro shops may extend the course senior discount to clothes and equipment in the shop.

The age requirements for these discounts will vary from facility to facility. There are discounts available for those of us that are 50 or 55 years of age, but may discounts may not begin until 60 or 62. Public courses tend to have the higher age requirements.

Like the age requirements, the amount of the discount can be different at every course. Discounts can range anywhere from 10% off or a couple of dollars from the green fees to more than 50% off or more than $50 dollars.
A majority of golf courses now have a web site and usually you can find the senior discounts located under the green fees section. We have over a thousand golf courses listed on our web site, but with fees and the amount of the discount changing each year, it is a good idea to confirm the discount before going to play your next round.

If the current golf course senior discount is different from the one listed on out web site, please let us know so we may update it, click here.

If you know of some golf course discounts that we don't already have, please let us and others know about it. To tell us about the discount, click here.

This week we bring you some of the discounts available in our SeniorDiscounts Card program. The following discounts and over 130,000 more can be found at Included in each listing is the phone number, address, map of the location and more. Remember - we add more discounts every week.
